It is with great pleasure that the Organising Committee offers you the unique opportunity to sponsor the International Congress of Meat Science and Technology (ICoMST), now in its 69th edition. This important annual event finally returns to Italy after 21 years and will be held in Padova, Italy, from August 20th to 25th, 2023, at the newly opened "Padova Congress" Convention Centre. 

The goal of ICoMST 2023 is to offer a highly rewarding professional experience, stimulating an effective exchange of information and ideas on important topics affecting the world of meat science and technology, immersed in a unique atmosphere of history and science.

The motto of this edition will be "From Tradition to Green Innovation"

 

and will be developed along several lines, with the aim of enabling a comprehensive update of the scientific and professional community revolving around the world of meat:

 

• Meat safety; Innovation in meat processing; Traditional meat products

• Meat alternatives: opportunities or threats? Role of meat in food security; Meat and health

• Alternative feeds to improve meat sustainability; Animal welfare and production systems; Animal biodiversity

• Muscle biology and biochemistry; Omics sciences; Meat science communication and education
   

Each year, the Congress involves more than 600 delegates including academics, opinion leaders, legislative authorities, students and professionals. Furthermore, the congress typically hosts companies operating in the "meat supply chain": breeders, feed manufacturers, feed supplements and drugs for animal husbandry, butchery plants technology, packaging systems, analytical instruments and supplies, clinical and diagnostic testing, meat processing. Finally, companies operating in the food and beverage sectors that offer perfect pairings with meat are also welcome (wine, beer, spirits, coffee, oil, pasta).

 

In order to foster dialogue between research and industry, "hot" topics of interest to the food industry and consumers will be addressed. 

ICoMST 2023 will provide an important opportunity to meet new business partners, generate new ideas, gather new knowledge, and stimulate new collaborations.
